A fresh and flavorful hummus made with basil and lemon, perfect for snacking or as a spread.
Ingredients

chickpeas, rinsed (save the liquid)

big cup
fresh basil leaves

cup
tahini
0.25
cup
lemon juice

big garlic clove

extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
Combine chickpeas, basil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a food processor. Don't add olive oil or chickpea water yet.
Pulse a few times, then turn on low and slowly pour in olive oil while blending. Add chickpea water and blend until smooth.
Taste and adjust salt or lemon if needed. Transfer to a bowl and drizzle with extra olive oil.
Notes
For a creamier texture, blend longer or add a little more chickpea water.
