This flavorful turkey breast is infused with fresh herbs, lemon, and garlic, then roasted to perfection for a delicious centerpiece.

  • 1 piece boneless turkey breast (about 3 lbs)
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-2 tablespoons minced fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, sage, rosemary, etc.)
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

Instructions 

  • Season the turkey with salt and black pepper.
  • Melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter and cook garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Mix garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and herbs in a bowl.
  • Rub herb butter on the turkey, tie with kitchen twine, and marinate or roast immediately.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and roast until internal temperature reaches 165°F, about 1 hour.
  • Rest for 10 minutes, then remove twine and slice to serve.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate overnight, but roasting immediately also yields great results.
