Delight in these rich and buttery maple pecan pie bars, perfect for a sweet treat with a nutty twist.
Ingredients

cup
unsalted butter (softened)
1/3
cup
brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 1/3
cups
all purpose flour
1/4
teaspoon
salt
Filling
6
tablespoons
butter (diced)
3/4
cup
brown sugar
1/3
cup
pure maple syrup
1/3

milk (whole or 2%)
2

(the smaller you chop them the easier it is to cut the bars)
1/8 to 1/4
teaspoon
salt (optional, flaked sea salt)
(I prefer flaked sea salt)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the crust by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and salt; press into a baking pan.
Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
In a saucepan, melt diced butter, then stir in brown sugar, maple syrup, and milk; cook until smooth.
Remove from heat, fold in chopped pecans, and pour over the baked crust.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes, then cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle flaked sea salt on top before baking.
