A quick and flavorful one-pot pasta dish featuring smoked sausage, honey BBQ sauce, and creamy cheddar cheese for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced

Pasta

  • 12 ounces penne or rotini pasta

Broth & Dairy

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Sauce & Cheese

  • ¾ cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Vegetables & Oils

  • ½ cup diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Seasonings

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté onions until translucent.
  • Add sausage and cook until browned, then season with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente.
  • Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and BBQ sauce, then melt in cheddar cheese.
  • Adjust seasonings, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.
