A hearty and easy one-pot meal combining savory ground beef with tender potatoes, perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb potatoes (diced)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • to taste Salt & black pepper Salt & black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup water or beef broth

Garnish

  • as needed Fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet with half the butter for 8-10 minutes; season and set aside.
  • Sauté diced onion in the same skillet for 5 minutes, add garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add potatoes, cook 5-6 minutes until golden, then pour in water or broth and simmer 10-12 minutes until tender.
  • Return beef to skillet, stir, heat 4 minutes, then garnish before serving.

Notes

Ensure potatoes are fork-tender before serving for the best texture.
