A delightful cake combining the nutty flavor of pistachios with the sweetness of honey, perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Wet ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Additional

  • to taste powdered sugar for garnish

  • 1 cup shelled unsalted pistachios

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pan.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  • Combine dry and wet ingredients, fold in chopped pistachios, then pour into the pan.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • Drizzle warm honey on top and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pistachios on top before serving.
