A quick and flavorful dish combining ground beef, colorful peppers, and savory sauces served over rice.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Garnish

  • as needed Chopped fresh cilantro (optional) (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook diced onion for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Add ground beef, cook until browned (5-7 minutes), then drain excess fat.
  • Stir in sliced peppers and minced garlic; cook for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  • Mix in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pour in broth, soy, and Worcestershire sauces; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve beef mixture over rice, garnished with cilantro if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add more vegetables or adjust seasonings to taste.
