Ingredients

Base

  • 0.5 cup frozen blueberries (no need to thaw)
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned oats work best)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional but recommended for texture and nutrition)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (pure vanilla preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (freshly ground for better flavor)
  • dash salt
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat or full-fat, adds creaminess)
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup roasted walnuts (chopped into bite-sized pieces)

Instructions 

  • In a jar or bowl, combine blueberries, oats, chia seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, maple syrup, yogurt, and almond milk.
  • Mix well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.
  • Before serving, stir the oats and top with chopped walnuts.
