Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili powder (optional)
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup purple cabbage
  • 1 cup green cabbage
  • 2 green onions green onions
  • Half a bunch cilantro
  • 0.25 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 whole lime
  • to taste jalapeño or pickled jalapeño (optional)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado avocado
  • Lime wedges lime wedges
  • optional sriracha aioli or spicy mayo for serving

Instructions 

  • Cube the salmon, remove skin and bones, then marinate with spices and oil for at least 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the slaw by whisking Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss with sliced cabbage, carrots, green onions, and cilantro.
  • Cook the salmon in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Slice the avocado and warm the tortillas. Assemble tacos with avocado, slaw, and salmon, then garnish with lime and optional spicy mayo.

Notes

For extra spice, add diced jalapeños to the slaw or serve with hot sauce.
