These savory cheese muffins are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack, packed with sharp cheddar and fresh herbs for a flavorful bite.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Cheese and herbs

  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh herbs

Wet ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease muffin tin.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Stir in cheese and herbs.
  • Whisk wet ingredients separately.
  • Combine wet and dry, fill muffin cups 2/3 full, and bake 18-20 mins.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional herbs before baking.
