These savory cheese muffins are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack, packed with sharp cheddar and fresh herbs for a flavorful bite.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Cheese and herbs

  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh herbs (such as chives, parsley, or dill)

Wet ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease muffin tin.
  • Mix dry ingredients; add cheese and herbs.
  • Whisk wet ingredients; combine with dry until just mixed.
  • Divide batter into muffin cups, filling 2/3 full.
  • Bake 18-20 minutes until golden; cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional herbs before baking.
