A rich and fudgy skillet brownie with intense chocolate flavor, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Butter and Chocolate

  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (divided)

Eggs and Sugar

  • 3 eggs eggs
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar

Vanilla and Cocoa

  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup cocoa

Dry Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon espresso powder (optional) (optional - intensifies chocolate flavor)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350º F (175º C).
  • Melt butter and ½ cup chocolate chips together.
  • Whisk eggs and brown sugar until lightened, then add vanilla and melted mixture.
  • Stir in cocoa, flour, salt, espresso powder, then remaining chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into a greased 8-inch skillet and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Let cool, then serve with ice cream or whipped topping.

Notes

For extra richness, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top before baking.
