A flavorful and spicy chicken dish with a sweet and tangy marinade, perfect for grilling or pan-searing.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • Juice and zest of 2 limes lime juice and zest
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste Salt and black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions 

  • Whisk together honey, lime juice and zest, olive oil, soy sauce, hot sauce, garlic, chili flakes, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  • Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes, up to 8 hours.
  • Preheat grill or skillet. Cook chicken 6–7 minutes per side until cooked through.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice. Garnish with cilantro and lime wedges.

Notes

Adjust hot sauce and chili flakes to taste for spiciness.
