A delicious appetizer featuring a savory spinach and artichoke filling baked inside a crusty French loaf.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread and scoop out some of the soft center.
  • Sauté spinach in olive oil until wilted, then remove from heat.
  • Mix spinach, chopped artichokes, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, and sour cream until combined.
  • Fill each half of the loaf with the mixture and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For a crispier crust, bake a few extra minutes or broil briefly at the end.
