A delicious baked pasta dish featuring jumbo shells filled with a cheesy spinach mixture, topped with marinara and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 18-20 pieces jumbo pasta shells (boil extra in case some break)
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 cups spinach
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded and divided)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 egg egg
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil shells until just al dente, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Sauté garlic in olive oil for 1 minute, add spinach and cook until wilted. Cool slightly.
  • Mix ricotta, seasonings, half of mozzarella, Parmesan, cream cheese, egg, and cooled spinach.
  • Fill shells with cheese mixture, place in baking dish, top with remaining marinara and cheese.
  • Cover and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 more minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Use extra shells to prevent breakage and ensure even filling.
