Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch pan with parchment and spray with non-stick spray.
Sift dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa, and espresso powder. Set aside.
Melt butter with oil and 1/3 cup sugar over medium heat. Remove from heat.
Whisk eggs, egg yolk, vanilla, and remaining sugar until combined. Gradually add warm butter mixture, whisking constantly.
Stir in dry ingredients and chocolate chips until just combined. Pour into pan and smooth top.
Bake for 28-30 minutes until edges are firm and top is shiny. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Do not overmix to keep brownies fudgy.
